 Current Research
My main interest in research has recently been focused on the role of Anopheles minimus CYP6AA3 and CYP6P7 cytochrome P450 enzymes in the metabolism of pyrethroid insecticides. The specific aims are to:
 1) Establish the CYP6AA3 and CYP6P7 cytochrome P450s and the the NADPH-cytochrome P450 reductase (CPR) expression system.
 2) Express CYP6AA3 and CYP6P7 enzymes and examine the substrate preferences of the enzymes relative to pesticide metabolism, using cytochrome P450-CPR reconstitution system.
 3) Mutation of CPR and activity studies.
